Lamon "Big L" Caldwell - A/R

Born and raised in the heartbeat of a city known for it's Blues and rich culture--Lamon "Big L" Caldwell couldn't but help to feel the beat!  Coming from a musically inclined family it was no doubt that this brown-eyed boy would develop a taste for good music.  Caldwell describes it as this "when you grow up in family who exposes you to Jazz, Soul, R&B, Blues, etc you can't fight the feeling of developing a love for good music!"  Caldwell picked up his first record at the age of 9 and from then on has never put one down!  Caldwell would fill in for the DJ his mom would hire for their monthly house parties when no one was looking.  "Ma Dukes would try to make me go back upstairs but after awhile couldn't resist because I could play!  As a teenager, he would further hone his DJing talent on Chicago's famous House music scene doing basement parties.  DJ Dubie was born!

After graduating high school Lamon would go on to college as a student-athelete--he continued to listen and study music which landed him an on-air DJ gig when he transfered to Portland State University in 1996.  Caldwell started out at 1450 AM KPSU along with partner DJ Fresh co-hosting the Mad Flava Hip Hop R&B Show.  The show ran for two years and was received with much praise in the Portland Metro Area.  Caldwell would go on to graduate and pursue a professional football career which took him away from his hands on love for music.  Never out of the game musically, Caldwell while winning an Arena Football League Championship with the Quad City Steamwheelers in 2002 never forgot one his truest loves!.

Having a yearning for getting back to his roots Caldwell began looking at going to Sound Engineering School before his health suddenly took a turn for the worst in 2006.  Despite being diagnosed with End State Renal Failure and having to go on dialysis Caldwell used his passion for music to get him through.  Over the pass two and half years Caldwell took on numerous DJ gigs and made a name for himself on the local scene!  His diverse set of skills made him sought after for various Tampa Bay Area events.

Enter 2008, Caldwell and childhood friend Simeon Rice sat down to form what would eventually become Lucid Dream Entertainment Group.  They would began development on Yashi as the labels first act.  Not knowing if she could really sing or not Caldwelll dove in head first and to his surprise on a trip to ATL for a demo session with Yashi she showed up big!  With Lucid Dream Entertainment Rice and Caldwell will be a forced to be reckoned with bringing the gritty Chicago work ethic coupled with the integrity learned in football these two are sure to create a winning formula.
